Melinda Woods is no less than a powerhouse. She is an engineer, a serial entrepreneur and a cyber security expert. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan, a Master’s Degree in Electrical Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.B.A. from University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and has over 25 years of experience working in the private sector for such tech giants as Intel and Motorola and in the public sector, including a stint as the Director of the Defense Production Act Title III Office and several key positions at the Defense Intelligence Agency including Operation Iraqi Freedom where she was deployed to manage a team of analysts and received the civilian commendation award for her leadership.
Melinda is the founder and CEO of EaaS Consulting where she advises companies with emerging technology on growth strategies, IT solutions and operational models. She is also the founder and CEO of MentalMassage, a company that delivers self care services tailored for women in leadership. Melinda serves on several boards including as the Chairwoman of the Board of the National Institute for Industry and Career Advancement. We start our conversation by talking about her childhood in Detroit and her journey is an extraordinary one.
